This little bridge used to have a sister, the Harris Steeves bridge, about 300 m or so along the road southwest of it, which was destroyed around 25 years ago. You can see them both together in the archival pictures below, as well as read about the confusion on some websites that I will (hopefully) unravel and post here when I get it sorted out. I have added a couple of photos at the end of the page of the site of the old Harris Steeves bridge, which you can still clearly see is the remains of a covered bridge.
A neat shot of the bridge on a sweltering hot day.

Below: the site of the old Harris Steeves covered bridge which was destroyed in (1989, or 1993?) [Note: the Provincial Archives list has it incorrectly named as the Hartley Steeves bridge that was lost, and to fire, not to the truck/snowplow that I was told destroyed it. This list also lists a "Bull Creek bridge (Harris Steeves)" destroyed in 1989. ** To clarify.]

Belleisle Creek No.2 (Marven)
I don't know what it is about this bridge, but I love it - maybe that fact that it is located on Swamp Road ("What's in a name...?"), or that the scenery was so interesting on the drive there, or that it was just a perfect July afternoon? I set out to find this bridge and Millstream bridge at Centreville on the same day, which made for a good pairing.
I recommend getting to it via Route 875/Belleisle Rd. south of Belleisle Creek on Route 870. I lucked out and found it without going in circles, but not because it was well posted and straightforward. If you were to take the Swamp Road south from Elmbrook, you would probably run into trouble, as the road was deeply rutted and barely passable in an SUV when I drove beyond the bridge up Swamp Road from the south end. And this was in mid-summer.
